How can I recycle or reuse my Diptyque products and their packaging?
Since its beginnings and for a long time, the Maison has been looking for improving the recyclability of its products in a sustainable momentum. To these days, some Diptyque objects and materials are not recyclable.
The following is a summary of the recycling instructions for each type of material and product:
- Cardboard and paper cases, leaflets, and boxes, plastic bottles and tubes, as well as perfume foams and metal elements are recyclable. They shall be put in bins and containers reserved for paper and packaging.
- Glass facial skincare and bodycare products can be sorted and recycled once the pumps and caps have been removed.
- Candles in glass jars *, hourglass refills, eaux de parfum and eaux de toilette bottles made of glass can be sorted and recycled as long as the caps are removed first - you do not need to remove the pump or the metal part.
* only the jar of the 300g Baies candle in black glass cannot be recycled. It should be placed in the household waste bin.
- The hourglass mechanism must be put in bins and containers reserved for paper and packaging, after having previously taken off the two tips of the hourglass, which is then recycled with the glass bottles and jars.
- Scented ovals and stoneware candles (1500g) cannot be recycled.
If recycling is not an option, consider reusing your Diptyque items with timeless accessories that unleash creativity.
Scented ovals, such as fabric pouches, can be twisted as ingenious and elegant accessories, and can become the object of many new uses at home.
Fabric pouches can also be placed in a tissue drop-off center. There too, a new life awaits them.
The Diptyque candle glass is a practical and decorative recipient that will bring a touch of character to a work space, make a stylish bathroom tidy or brighten up a living room. It could even be used as a small vase, a trinket bowl, a pencil pot, etc.
